Deep within the heart of Vrindavan lies a forest wrapped in mystery and divine romance: Nidhivan. It is said that even today, Lord Krishna descends to this exact spot every night to perform the divine Raas Leela with Radha Rani and the Gopis.

The Trees That Turn to Gopis

The trees in Nidhivan are unlike any other. They are short, intertwined, and their branches bend downwards towards the earth. Devotees believe that these are not just trees, but the actual Gopis frozen in time during the day. When night falls, they transform back into Gopis to dance with the Lord.

The Unsolved Mystery

No one is allowed inside Nidhivan after sunset—not even the priests or the animals. It is believed that anyone who attempts to stay and witness the Raas Leela either loses their sight, their voice, or their sanity, as the human mind cannot comprehend the divine energy.

The Bed of Flowers

Every evening, the priests prepare a bed with fresh flowers, a saree, bangles, pan (betel leaf), and holy water in the Rang Mahal inside Nidhivan. Every morning, the bed looks slept in, the pan is chewed, and the water is half-empty.

Nidhivan remains a powerful testament to faith, a place where the boundary between the material and the divine completely vanishes.
